“How We Got This Way” is the first of several new singles I am releasing in 2023.
I used to work with magazines and newspapers, I ran a record label, and I worked in record stores. Now those wonderful things are shadows of what they used to be.
New things have taken their places without replacing what they were.
Sure, I can still release music, design things and read articles, but what does it all mean if it isn’t tangible? So many of our shared experiences have been moved out of the physical world and onto small screens.
It’s hard to tell the difference these days between something disposable, something valuable in the ether, and something that doesn’t exist at all. And with that, here is a new song that is available digitally.
